What:  Dave Navarro is a trauma survivor of the highest order. At 15 years old his mother was brutally murdered by her estranged ex-boyfriend. For 8 long years Dave’s mother’s killer eluded capture while Dave dealt with his deepest, darkest fears through drugs, art and escapism. In a heartbreaking, inspirational journey, Dave confronts the events that changed his life forever. Through revelations from friends and family, to the cold hard facts from police and FBI agents, Dave attempts to come to terms with his mother’s senseless murder and the horrific realities of domestic violence.

Join us on Friday, June 15th when INDISTRY takes over the 25th and 26th floor of the Virgin Hotels Chicago with INDISTRY Presents: Artists’ Pridean event to celebrate and show our support for diversity, equality and Chicago’s LGBTQ community.

Hosting the evening will be TV Host, Danielle Robay as she brings on stage our Featured Artist for the evening, Michael Blume and Special Guest, Shea Coulee ( RuPaul’s Drag Race) to perform.

FILM: Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution

WHAT: In May, we’ll bring a little “Sundance” to the Virgin.  A film screening and Q&A with James Redford followed by a separate ticketed dinner in Virgin Hotels Chicago’s restaurant and lounge, Commons Club.

About Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution: Filmmaker James Redford embarks on a colorful personal journey into the dawn of the clean energy era as it creates jobs, turns profits, and makes communities stronger and healthier across the US. The documentary can also be streamed exclusively on HBO.  Proceeds from the ticketed dinner will go to benefit the Redford Center.  Redford Center, co-founded in 2005 by Robert Redford and his son and board chair, James Redford, The Redford Center harnesses the power of film, video and new media to engage people through inspiring stories that galvanize environmental action.

WHAT: We’re kicking off the much anticipated spring opening of Cerise at Virgin Hotel with a “Spring Break After Party”!  Inspired by the Tom Cruise film, “Cocktail” this Spring Break party will be at Cerise Rooftop located 26 floors overlooking the beautiful skyline of Chicago.  Collaborating with Londo Mondo featuring California lifestyle brand L’Space, guests will get a first-glance look at the newest swimwear styles via a fashion showcase and pop-up shop.  Plus mini bites, cocktails and DJ to keep the spring break buzz going!
